Saudades
So much happened in Brasil and all of it was great, except the long goodbye at the airport - every departure is tough but this time a little grand daughter/niece was in the mix and it made things extra difficult.. Theres a word that only exists in Portuguese called ‘Saudades‘ - you get the feeling of Saudades when you miss someone you love but at the same time you feel a certain happiness in your sadness because this person was or is a part of your life. - we’ll be back in rio at the end of the year so nothing to be too sad about.
